Meet your Force for Health 360° Human - Mucous, Cough and Shortness of Breath

When a respiratory virus, such as the Corona that caused COVID-19, infects a person, one thing it does is invade the lining of the respiratory tract in a person.  This is the pink lining doctors call the mucosa.  It is moist and lined with cells that make mucous to coat it and catch germs and little hairs called cilia to help sweep things up to the throat to swallow and kill with stomach acid or to spit out.  If the mucosa is injured by a virus or bacteria or tobacco or vaping injury, then the body makes more mucous and the body coughs more to overcome the lack of high quality waves of motion pushing the mucous out.
Look through this virtual microscope at the lining of the lungs and find the cilia and the mucous.

The current COVID-19 is more likely to affect the bronchial tubes into the lungs.
