The HPAC ...validating a good I.D.E.A.

OHIO:
I visited with another group of Scholars. These are the people of the Force for Health Partner “HPAC Program” in Ohio. HPAC stands for Health Professions Affinity Communities, where a project based learning TEAM goes through Dr. Gina Weisblat’s IDEAS approach to local people identifying and solving problems together. They learn about health careers and social determinants of health as they address those issues with their own research and  service based projects. Over a 1000 students last year from 40 counties and 100 school districts did IDEAS project presentations or posters at Scholars Day.  For me, it is a validation that the future is bright in the hands of these youth that will light up the world with their passion, talent and commitment.
Thank you Gina Weisblat, Liz Ruttenberg, Anita Johnson, and Anita Iveljic, and the rest of the academic and project team that makes it happen. I am looking forward to your virtual Scholar's Day this year.

Its time, young people, to "merge mercy with might, and might with right" and do the right thing to help us show compassion for all, and protect each other leading with the light of our example to wear the mask, get the shot, feed the hungry, and be kind as we come out of this challenge by making it the opportunity to create a new movement..
