Safe Toys and Celebrations Month

Laura Stepnowski • Dec 11, 2019

Happy Safe Toys and Celebrations Month!

For the entire month of December, celebrate Safe Toys and Celebrations Month by carefully choosing toys for children while keeping in mind their unique needs and interests.

Too often, accidents involving children and toys occur and may result in eye injuries. Each year, thousands of children age 14 and younger suffered serious eye injuries, even blindness, from toys. Prevent this by being careful about the toys you purchase this year!

There are plenty of resources that will help guide you through this process, including prevent Blindness' website, which contains a checklist for purchasing safe toys for children.

Let's have the courage to realize that in our moments of darkness..."there is always light if only we are brave enough to see it, if only we are brave enough to be it." Its time, young people, to "merge mercy with might, and might with right" and do the right thing to help us show compassion for all, and protect each other leading with the light of our example to wear the mask, get the shot, feed the hungry, and be kind as we come out of this challenge by making it the opportunity to create a new movement..
